The Mindful Health Research Lab will publish the iOS and Android apps to Apple and Google. Each store sends different types of data to Mindful Health Research Lab regarding download numbers and some usage information.
The Mindful Health Research Lab will upload study specific, user email addresses to Firebase for study participants. It will receive all of the user listening history from Firebase.
These applications each use Firebase (which has its own Privacy Policy) for email/password login, downloading Program data, and uploading individual user listening data. Google Analytics and Crashlytics are disabled for the app, and no other usage data is collected outside of what Firebase does by default.
This information does not identify any user personally. No personal identifiers are stored. The information collected is part of a systems log file and is only used internally for Mindful Health Lab research purposes.
This information is primarily collected to create summary statistics, which are used for such purposes as assessing what information is used the most and least, determining technical design specifications, and identifying system performance or problem areas. We use the information we collect to measure the number of visitors to the different sections of our app, and to help us make our app more feasible to its users.
